Date And Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
shortening (size of egg)
1 c. dates, cut up small
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
-
Pour boiling water over cut up dates; let stand 20 minutes. Add all other ingredients; mix well.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Makes 3 small loaves.
