Vichyssoise-Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium potatoes, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    2 sprigs celery, chopped
    1/4 c. diced cabbage
    1 large carrot, chopped
    1 sprig parsley
    season to taste
    1 hen (bony parts)
Preparation
    Cover chicken parts completely with water.
    Bring to rolling boil, 5 minutes.
    Simmer until tender.
    Cool.
    Pick meat from bones.
    Strain broth.
    In another container, add all ingredients to broth; add additional canned broth if needed.
    Bring to rolling boil.
    Simmer until tender.
    Add chicken pieces.
    Serve cold with French bread or hot with corn bread.
