Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    6 maraschino cherries
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. applesauce
    1 c. granulated sugar
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0.
    Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice.
    Sprinkle the brown sugar on the bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan that has been coated with nonstick vegetable spray. Place an even layer of drained pineapple over the brown sugar. Slice the cherries in half and arrange, cut side up, over the pineapple.
