Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. light cream
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
Preparation

In the top of a double boiler, stir together the brown sugar, salt, light cream and 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten.
Cook the mixture over gently boiling water, stirring constantly until it thickens.
Add butter and vanilla.\tCool the sauce before serving.
