Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. peeled, cored tomatoes
    1/2 lb. green peppers
    1/2 lb. red peppers
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    1/2 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Tie spices in a piece of cheesecloth.
    Chop all vegetables. Simmer together until mixture begins to thicken, stirring occasionally.
    Add sugar and vinegar.
    Cook, stirring often, until mixture becomes a thick sauce.
    Remove spice bag.
    Pack into sterile jars; seal.
    Makes about 3 pints.
