Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
2 (2 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
few grains of salt
1 c. chopped walnut meats
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Beat eggs; add melted chocolate over hot water and beat thoroughly.
Mix flour, salt and nut meats; add vanilla extract and mix well.
Spread in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 30 minutes. Cool; cut into squares.
