Rev. Doggett'S Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. chopped apples (tart Winesaps are best)
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 stick melted oleo
2 (9-inch) pie crusts
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and nutmeg.
Peel, core and slice apples. Pour mixture over prepared apples and toss to coat well.
Add orange juice and oleo.
Mix lightly.
Fill one of the pie shells with the apple mixture and use the other to lattice the top of the pie.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes; lower oven temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake for 45 minutes until bubbly and brown.
