Roy Rogers' Favorite Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. warm water
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Stir in some of the hot mixture, then return all to saucepan and cook, stirring 1 minute.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Stir until butter melts.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Top with meringue or whipped cream.
