Tangy German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 medium potatoes
    8 to 10 bacon strips
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 c. diced celery
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Peel potatoes; cover with water and boil until done, not firm (use boiling not baking potatoes).
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Drain and save 3 tablespoons drippings and crumble bacon.
    Saute onion and celery.
    Add flour, sugar, water, vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook until mixture thickens.
    Slice potatoes and bacon; place in a large bowl, adding some sauce mixture to coat.
    Serve hot or at room temperature.
