Ingredients

3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Cream the first 4 ingredients.
Add egg.
Mix well.
Add next 3 ingredients.
Mix well.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp. Cool on sheet for 2 minutes for both.
Makes about 3 dozen 3-inch cookies.
