Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head iceberg lettuce, washed and drained
    1 (16 oz.) can garden peas, drained
    3 stalks celery, washed and chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    mayonnaise
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Break lettuce into bite size pieces and place in an 8 x 10-inch square dish.
    Pour drained peas on top.
    Place celery over peas.
    Place onions over celery.
    Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over celery.
    Refrigerate.
    Just before serving, sprinkle bacon bits on top.
