Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening or butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
In a large bowl, cream shortening; add sugars beating until light and fluffy.
Blend in peanut butter gradually.
Add vanilla.
Add dry ingredients, beat until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool 1 minute and remove from pan.
