Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
3 c. oats
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar, butter and cocoa.
Add milk in saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Quickly reduce heat to medium and cook 3 to 4 minutes until a ball forms in a glass of cold water when dropped.
Remove from heat.
Stir in quick cooking oats, nuts and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoons on wax paper.
