Fig Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. sugar (6 c.)
    1 1/2 pt. vinegar (3 c.)
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 Tbsp. stick cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    7 lb. figs (Kadota)
Preparation
    Put together all ingredients and make syrup by boiling for 5 minutes. Add figs and boil again for 5 minutes. Let stand overnight.
