Lime Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, sliced in 1/4-inch slices
    2 c. lime
    2 gal. water
    4 1/2 lb. sugar (10 c.)
    2 qt. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. mixed pickling spice
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Cover
    cucumbers
    with\tmixture of lime and water.
    Let stand overnight.\tNext
    morning
    rinse
    well and let stand in plain cold water 2 hours.
    (Add ice cubes to make water really cold.) Rinse and drain.\tCover with sugar and vinegar mixture. Tie
    spices
    in a
    clean cloth and add to mixture.\tAdd salt. Let
    set overnight. Next morning, bring to boil and boil hard 35 minutes.
    Put in jars and seal.
