Barbecued Bourbon Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, sliced thinly
    1 tsp. dried thyme
    3 Tbsp. good quality sipping bourbon
    2 (1-inch) thick center cut pork chops
    1/2 c. barbecue sauce (any variety)
Preparation
    Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.
    Add onion and saute until begin to soften.
    Add thyme and saute about 1 minute.
    Add bourbon and simmer until liquid is reduced to a glaze; add barbecue sauce.
    Season chops with salt and pepper; grill 5 minutes per side.
    Brush with sauce.
    Continue grilling until done. Grilling time is about 20 minutes.
