Cranberry-Orange Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. raw cranberries, chopped
    grated rind and juice of 1 orange plus water for 3/4 cup
Preparation
    Grease loaf pan, 9x5x3.
    Blend dry ingredients.
    Mix in shortening, orange rind, juice and egg.
    Fold in cranberries. Pour into pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
    Cool thoroughly before slicing with a thin, sharp knife.
    (Freezes well too.)
