Hawaiian Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. uncooked rice
    2 (20 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
    1 large container Cool Whip
    1 small container Cool Whip (for topping)
    maraschino cherries (for decoration, optional)
Preparation
    Cook the rice until fluffy. Drain pineapple and reserve liquid.
    While rice is still warm, mix in a large bowl with pineapple and large Cool Whip. Add some pineapple juice to make creamy.
    Place cherry halves around top, if desired.
    Serve at room temperature with extra Cool Whip on top.
    Best if let stand overnight.
