Squash Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 yellow squash, grated
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 egg
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
pepper to taste
Preparation

Place squash and onion in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let stand until all moisture is gone.
Pour into large bowl and add flour, cornmeal, pepper, cheese and egg.
Mix well.
Form into patties and fry until golden brown on both sides.
