Pork Chops With Applesauce And Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

6 pork chops
2 tsp. salt
2 medium large onions, sliced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 c. coarse fresh bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. prepared horseradish
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut
1 (15 oz.) jar applesauce
1 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Brown chops in butter.
Season with salt and pepper.
Set aside.
Saut onion in butter left in pan for browning chops.
Add more butter if necessary.
Mix sauted onion thoroughly with rest of ingredients.
Layer 1/2 of the mixture on bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2 pan; next, add the chops and top with remaining mixture.
Cover with foil and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 2 hours or until desired doneness.
Serve with noodles, rice or boiled potatoes.
