Date Nut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. pitted and chopped dates
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. soft butter
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Beat eggs until thick and foamy.
    Add sugar, vanilla and butter.
    Beat well.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt into egg mixture.
    Mix into a smooth batter.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Pour into a well-greased and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into bars and dust with powdered sugar.
