Coconut Sheet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix with pudding
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix cake as directed on box.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 package of coconut.
    Mix until blended.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    After cake cools, put 2 cups milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan and get hot, but not to boiling point.
    Pour over cool cake after punching holes over the top with a fork.
    Let cool.
    Put Cool Whip on top of cake and add remaining coconut over top of Cool Whip.
    Refrigerate.
