China Curled Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raw shrimp, shelled and deveined or 1 lb. frozen shrimp
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. ketchup
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    6 scallions, sliced
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Wash and drain the shrimp.
    Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet; saute the shrimp 1 minute.
    Add a mixture of the ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger, scallions and garlic.
    Cook over low heat 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Mix together the cornstarch and water.
    Add to the shrimp and cook 2 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
