Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 oz. mushrooms
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
8 oz. sour cream
2 to 3 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Brown steak in small amount of cooking oil.
Add onions, soup, mushrooms and seasonings.
Simmer until meat is tender (covered). Thicken gravy to desired consistency by adding cornstarch in small amount of water.
Just before serving, stir in sour cream while still hot.
(Do not boil, sour cream will curdle.)
Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
