Catsup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. tomato juice
    scant 1/4 c. salt
    6 medium onions
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Put onions in blender with a little juice.
    Boil all but vinegar and sugar down to half.
    Add vinegar and sugar.
    Boil until thick, stirring constantly.
    Yields 8 pints.
