Orsingers Scotch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 lb. 2 oz. butter
    1 lb. white sugar
    1 lb. brown sugar
    5 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. dark syrup
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla and syrup.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Mix well. Refrigerate a couple of hours.
    Roll and cut with round cutter.
    Put on cookie sheet and brush with beaten egg.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until done to touch.
