Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with persimmon pulp.
Add raisins and nuts; beat throughly.
Drop on greased cookie sheet by spoonful (size optional), about 1 1/2 to 2-inches apart.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
