Poor Man'S Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburg
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, chopped fine
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Shape in a narrow loaf or spread out on a cookie sheet.
    Let set for 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Cut in pieces, fry in butter until lightly browned.
    Put slices in layers in roaster, spreading each piece with cream of mushroom soup.
    Mix remainder of soup with milk to fill can and pour over meat.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
