Cherry Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk (add 1 tsp. vinegar to milk to sour)
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add to mixture with buttermilk.
Blend well. Stir in pecans, cherries and vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool a few minutes and remove from pans.
