Kugelhupf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter, softened
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. lemon peel, finely shredded
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped, blanched almonds
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixer bowl.
Add milk, 1/3 cup sugar, salt, butter, eggs, vanilla and 1 1/2 cups of the flour.
Beat on low speed, scrapping bowl occasionally.
Stir in raisins, lemon peel and remaining flour.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double, about 1 1/2 hours.
