Kathy'S Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, cut in 1/2 x 2-inch strips
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 c. sour cream
    1 8oz. pkg. noodles
Preparation
    Flour meat strips, brown with onions in shortening & butter. Add seasonings & water.
    Cover & simmer 45 min. or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
    Add gravy & mushrooms, stir to mix.
    Simmer for 20 min.
    Just before serving, stir in sour cream. Serve over cooked noodles.
