Blackberry Cake With Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 qt. blackberries (fresh or frozen)
Preparation
    Bring berries to boil. Sweeten to taste. Cool. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Stir well. Fold in berries. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
