Almond Bombe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 prepared pound cake
    1/4 c. Amaretto
    4 oz. blanched almonds
    2 c. heavy (whipping) cream
    3 oz. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Slice pound cake into 1/4-inch slices.
    Slice each slice on the diagonal.
    Sprinkle pound cake with Amaretto.
    Arrange cake in a pinwheel design in a 1 1/2-quart mixing bowl which has been lined with plastic wrap.
    Toast almonds in 375\u00b0 oven until golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
    Cool and chop.
