Barbecue Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef (1/2-inch cubes)
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 c. water (or add as needed)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/3 c. diced green pepper
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. chili powder
    2 c. catsup
    12 to 16 hamburger buns, toasted
Preparation
    Brown beef in hot Crisco.
    Add water and simmer in covered skillet, 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
    Reserve broth.
