Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. olive oil
    1 medium (1 c.) yellow onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) can low sodium tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire or low sodium soy sauce
    1 1/2 Tbsp. honey
    1 1/2 Tbsp. molasses
Preparation
    In a cup, stir the mustard with the vinegar until dissolved. Let stand for at least 10 minutes.
    In a small saucepan, heat the oil over moderately low heat.
    Add the minced garlic, chili powder, oregano and salt.
    Cook stirring occasionally for 8 minutes or until onion is soft.
    Stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey and molasses.
    Bring to a simmer. Cook partially covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until thickened.
    Will keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
