Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly.
    Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt; blend until smooth.
    Roll or pat to 1/4-inch thickness on floured surface.
    Cut with 2-inch cutter or in pie pans (must score before baking).
    Place on ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not brown! Makes 5 dozen.
