Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs, separated
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. bourbon
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    1 qt. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    cracked ice
    nutmeg
Preparation
    In large bowl, beat egg yolks with electric mixer on medium-high speed until thick and lemon colored, about 5 minutes. Slowly beat in sugar, beat 5 minutes.
    Slowly beat in bourbon in a slow, steady stream.
    Beat in cream and milk; add vanilla.
    In medium bowl, beat egg whites until medium stiff peaks form.
    Fold beaten egg whites into yolk mixture.
    To serve, add 1/4 cup ice to punch cups.
    Add egg nog and top with nutmeg.
