Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift flour into bowl. Add shortening and cut in with pastry cutter. Add buttermilk; mix well and turn out on lightly floured surface. Knead for 30 seconds; roll 1/2-inch thick. Place on well greased baking pan; brush with melted shortening. Bake in hot 500\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
