Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium-large potatoes
    2 c. corn
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. dried onion
    1 Tbsp. dried chives
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 grated and cooked carrot (optional)
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and cook in water until tender.
    Mash them right in the pot.
    Add remaining ingredients and more water to desired consistency.
    Cook on low for about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
