Cheddar Zucchini Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. zucchini, sliced thin (don't peel)
    salt and pepper
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. sour cream
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    8 slices bacon, crumbled
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Simmer squash to tender; drain.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Combine egg yolks and sour cream.
    Whip egg whites. Place 1/2 of egg mixture, 1/2 of cheese and all of bacon in pan. Repeat layers.
    Melt butter; stir in crumbs.
    Sprinkle over top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
