Orange Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. Crisco
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 c. grated orange rind or 2/3 c. shredded orange rind
1 c. orange juice
Preparation

Sift flour before measuring; then resift with baking powder and salt.
Cream shortening and add sugar gradually, beating until mixture is fluffy.
Add slightly beaten egg and continue to beat. Add orange juice and rind.
Combine with flour mixture, stirring only enough to moisten the batter.
Do not beat.
Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Yield:
1 loaf.
