Chicken In Red Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut in pieces
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 lb. mushrooms
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tbsp. flour
    1 c. dry red wine
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. chicken broth
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Sprinkle chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
    Melt butter in skillet.
    Cook chicken over moderately high heat about 6 to 7 minutes.
    Turn and cook 5 minutes more.
    Add mushrooms, onion and garlic.
    Stir to blend.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Sprinkle with flour. Add wine and chicken broth, bring to boil.
    Add bay leaf, thyme and more salt and pepper if needed.
    Cook 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 4.
