Ingredients

1 1/2 qt. fresh greens
1/2 c. bacon drippings or cooking oil
1 qt. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
salt to taste
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Wash greens in warm or hot water.
Chop.
Place in water; add bacon drippings, baking soda, salt and sugar.
Cook on high until tender.
