Plain Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and sift again with salt.
    Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is coarse.
    Work water in lightly with blender until dough hangs together in a ball.
    Turn 1/2 of the pastry onto lightly floured board.
    Roll in sheet 1/8-inch thick.
    Fit into pie pan.
    Keep remainder of dough for top crust or second crust.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
