Alison'S Buried Cherry Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 oz. maraschino cherries, cut in half
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa powder
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    6 oz. chocolate chips (do not use imitation)
    1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
Preparation
    Drain cherries and reserve juice.
    Stir together dry ingredients.
    Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
    Add flour mixture and mix well.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Make a dent in the center and place cherry in dent.
    Spoon 1 teaspoon frosting to cover cherry.
    Bake about 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
