Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick margarine (1/4 lb.)
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cocoa
3 c. raw quick-rolling rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. broken walnuts
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Put the sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
Remove from the heat and stir in the rolled oats, vanilla, nuts and coconut.
Drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper to make 48 cookies.
