Overnight Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage, sliced thin
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. oil
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Sprinkle cabbage, onion and green pepper with 1/2 cup sugar. Let stand.
    Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, vinegar, oil, pepper, salt, dry mustard and celery seed.
    Bring to boil.
    Pour over cabbage while hot.
    Do not stir.
    Refrigerate, covered.
