Cool Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. vanilla pudding mix
    1 pkg. lime gelatin
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. grated lime rind
    2 Tbsp. lime juice
    3 1/2 c. thawed Cool Whip
    1 prepared 9-inch chocolate crumb crust
    1/4 c. sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Combine pudding mix, gelatin, sugar and water in saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Add lime rind and juice.
    Pour into bowl and cover with plastic wrap and chill until cold and slightly thickened.
    Fold in 2 1/2 cups of the whipped topping.
    Spoon into crust.
    Freeze 1 hour or chill in refrigerator 3 hours.
    Garnish with remaining whipped topping and lime slices, if desired.
