Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. finely chopped onions
    1 c. ketchup or 1 c. peach preserves
    1/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1/4 c. distilled white vinegar
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    4 lb. spareribs (in 2 or 3 pieces), trimmed of excess fat
    2 tsp. salt
    freshly ground black pepper
    2 lemons, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch thick slices
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    While it is heating, prepare the barbecue basting sauce:
    Combine the onions, ketchup or peach preserves, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and Tabasco sauce in a 1 to 1 1/2-quart enameled or stainless-steel saucepan.
