Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium peeled tomatoes
    3 medium onions
    1 hot pepper
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Chop the tomatoes, onions and pepper. Add vinegar, salt and sugar; cook on low heat until mixture becomes a thick sauce, about 45 minutes. Pour into hot jars and seal. Makes about 4 quarts and is good served with peas, beans or meat.
